Wildfire Prevention Plan

THE PLAN
1. Set up a defensible perimeter around your home. Clear brush, dead grass and woody material at least 100 feet from your home. Many fire services recommend a wider clear space around your home, check with local authorities. The perimeter may be increased by pretreating the surrounding area with the Phos-Chek retardant. Firebreak Brand Phos-Chek™ retardant will stay in place until it is washed off.	2. In a fire emergency, when the threat of wildfire is imminent, Firebreak Brand Phos-Chek™ retardant may be sprayed on landscaped areas, wooden structures, decks, fences, etc. Always remember to wash the retardant off these areas after the threat has passed.
Firebreak Brand Phos-Chek™ does not contain the gum, resin or red dye like the retardant used in air tanker drops. Firebreak retardant is a clear liquid made of monoammonium phosphate, which, other than deterring the spread of fire, acts as a low-grade fertilizer.
	Think of it as your own private air tanker making a direct hit on your property, exactly where and when you need it. The last word in wildfire prevention.
